How Often Should You Get a Haircut?
Two weeks, four weeks, six weeks. The right answer depends on your cut and how fast your hair grows.
There is no universal schedule for a haircut. The right gap between visits depends on the cut you keep and how fast your hair grows.
Short fades and skin fades look best at two to three weeks. Past that, the blend starts to blur and the line you liked disappears. If you keep a tight fade, book your next cut before you leave the chair.
A standard taper or scissor cut holds for four to five weeks. The shape stays, and a little length on top can actually look better after a week. Most guys in Stamford who work office jobs land here.
Longer styles and buzz cuts can go six weeks or more. The trade-off is that split ends creep in, so a trim is still worth it even when the length looks fine.
A simple rule: if you are pushing your hair off your forehead in the mirror and it is not cooperating, it is time. Most of our regulars come every three to four weeks. That keeps the cut looking like a cut and not like a problem.
